Our Story

Follow our story from conception to present day below.

1999

Academy Medical Equipment opens first location.
Academy Medical Equipment opens with six employees in Las Vegas, Nevada. Company specializes in standard mobility PMD's.

2003

Strategic Shift with Focus on Service and Repairs
To distinguish itself from competition, AME expands repair department and begins repairs and service on PMD's of all types, including those they did not originally provide.

2005

Academy expands into Complex Rehab Technology
AME adds complex rehab mobility devices to its product mix.

2006

Academy acquires DME Provider in San Diego
With the acquisition of a San Diego based medical product provider, AME expands to two locations and adds new 3rd party payors including MediCal.

2010

ATLAS is Battle Born
Frustrated with the software options commercially available, Academy Medical commissions the coding of proprietary software to manage their multi departments and multi locations that is specific to the CRT/HME industry.

2012-2016

Academy acquires DME Provider in Fresno, CA and opens four organic growth locations in CA
With a robust Revenue Cycle Management software in place, Academy begins rapid, organic growth.

2012

ATLAS is formed as a Nevada legal entity
 

2014

ATLAS is Licensed for Use outside of Academy Medical
Having been introduced to a group of CEO's at US Rehab and MedGroup retreats, ATLAS signs its first client outside of Academy Medical.

2017

$100,000,000 Billed Through ATLAS
ATLAS hits billed revenue milestone.

2017

ATLAS RCM Software is Marketed Commercially
After several years of growing by word of mouth, ATLAS becomes widely available. Exhibits at industry tradeshows. Becomes first commercially available Revenue Cycle Management software for CRT providers.

2018

Academy Medical acquired by National CRT Provider
With the sale of Academy Medical Equipment, founder focuses 100% of attention on ATLAS software.

2021

$250,000,000 Billed Through ATLAS
Through organic growth of existing clients and new CRT/HME providers coming on-board, ATLAS hits another revenue billed milestone.

2023

$500,000,000 Billed Through ATLAS
ATLAS hits another billed revenue milestone.

2024

ATLAS adds AI to Workflows
To reduce mundane order entry of patient demographics, AI Intake is added to ATLAS. Order entry time drops from 10 mins/patient to 30 seconds.
